Advertising and Commercial Disclosure Policy

Last updated: October 13, 2026

Advertising helps support Priva Health’s work of making understandable health information available to Filipino readers. This policy explains how we separate health education from commercial influence.

1. Editorial independence

Advertisers and commercial partners do not have the right to determine our medical conclusions, source selection, safety warnings, or editorial recommendations. Payment for advertising does not guarantee favorable editorial coverage.

2. Identification of advertising

Paid placements should be clearly distinguishable from editorial content through labels such as “Advertisement,” “Sponsored,” “Paid Partnership,” or another understandable disclosure. Ads should not be designed to mislead readers into believing they are independent medical guidance.

3. Google AdSense and automated advertising

Priva Health may use Google AdSense or another advertising network. Automated systems may select ads based on page context, general location, consent choices, or interest information where permitted. The appearance of an advertisement does not mean Priva Health medically recommends or has independently verified the advertiser, product, or claim.

4. Product and service links

Some articles may link to products, clinics, laboratories, pharmacies, or other services for reader convenience. A link does not guarantee suitability, safety, authenticity, legal status, availability, or effectiveness. Readers should verify claims and consult qualified professionals where appropriate.

5. StillSafe disclosure

Priva Health may link to StillSafe Philippines or related StillSafe websites when discussing emergency contraception or sexual-health products. Priva Health and StillSafe have related commercial interests. This relationship creates a potential conflict of interest and must be disclosed clearly wherever a StillSafe product link could influence a reader’s decision.

StillSafe product links should not replace balanced information about available options, timing, limitations, side effects, STI protection, pregnancy testing, urgent warning signs, or the need for professional care. Priva Health should continue to cite independent medical sources such as the World Health Organization, the Department of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, peer-reviewed research, and recognized clinical organizations.

6. Sponsored content

Sponsored content must be labeled at the beginning of the page. The sponsor and the nature of the relationship should be identified. Sponsored material remains subject to our basic accuracy, safety, sourcing, and correction standards.

7. Affiliate relationships

If Priva Health later earns a commission when a reader purchases through a link, the page will include a clear affiliate disclosure near the link or before the first affiliate link. Affiliate compensation will not change the price paid by a reader unless explicitly stated.

8. Advertising restrictions

We reserve the right to reject or remove advertising that appears fraudulent, discriminatory, exploitative, illegal, sexually coercive, unsafe, or materially misleading. We do not knowingly accept advertising that promises guaranteed cures, promotes falsified medicines, discourages necessary medical treatment, or makes unsupported health claims.

9. Privacy and advertising cookies

Advertising services may use cookies or similar technologies as described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Where required, readers will be given consent choices for non-essential advertising technologies.

10. Questions or complaints

To report a misleading advertisement, undisclosed commercial link, or possible conflict of interest, email privahealthphilippines@gmail.com with the page URL and a description of the concern.
